Taare Zameen Par (English: Stars on Earth) to be directed by debutant director Aamir Khan alongwith Amol Gupte credited as the creative director and writer of the film. It will star Aamir Khan in the main lead who will be playing the teacher to a dyslexic child played by Darsheel Safary.[1][2][3] Also produced by Aamir, the film will have music by the trio, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with lyrics by Prasoon Joshi. A small part of the film was recently shot near the New Era High School in Panchgani. The film is expected to release on December 21, 2007.

Résumé : Saawariya est inspiré du récit White Nights de Fyodor Dostoevsky et raconte l'histoire d'un jeune homme de 26 ans (Ranbir Kapoor), un réveur qui rencontre une jeune fille (Sonam Kapoor). L'histoire se déroule pendant 4 nuits consécutives ou ils se retrouvent ensemble.

Reportedly the first schedule for the film was to be shot at RK studio; Chembur from March 22 and even the stage no 1 were booked for three months. But, the shoot got postponed to April 10.[6] While shooting for the film, the director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali was accused of not paying the daily wage laborers on the sets of the film. The workers, affiliated to the Film Studio Setting and Allied Mazdoor Union were not paid since April 22 and were working on the sets of the film at Karjat for a month.[7]

Bhansali initially wanted Rani Mukerji and Salman Khan's extended guest appearance to be hidden from the public[8] but was later disclosed to the public indicating that they would be seen in supporting roles.[9]

Reports have it that the story would revolve around a Hindu boy, played by Ranbir Kapoor and a Muslim girl, played by Sonam Kapoor.[10] Mukerji will be seen playing the role of a prostitute whereas Khan will be seen playing a Muslim clergy.[11]
